Tucson’s newest New Year’s Eve tradition is the University of Arizona Downtown NYE Bowl Bash with fireworks presented by Tucson Federal Credit Union!

You and your compadres do not want to miss an opportunity to ring in the New Year in “Tucson’s Times Square” located at Congress St and 5th Ave, next to Hotel Congress.  The event is free to the public and starts at 6pm and will end at 1:00 am.

Thanks to our transportation sponsor, Center for Neurosciences, the Sun Link Streetcar will be free from 8:00 am NYE through 2:00 am on New Year’s Day so feel free to use it to move around downtown, 4th Avenue and the University area.


There are parking structures throughout downtown and parking along the streets that you can use!

Ensuring a safe experience for our all attendees is our highest priority. As a result, all revelers entering the Bowl Bash perimeter will go through a security search. 

NO CONTAINERS ADMITTED (with the exception of sealed plastic water bottles). ALL PERSONAL ITEMS SUBJECT TO SEARCH.  Beverage and food containers will not be permitted to enter. If patrons do bring food or beverage containers including ice chests, bottles, cans, canteens, or bags containing food, they will be asked to dispose of them at the entrance, or return them to their car. Patrons carrying bags or handbags will be asked by security to open them for inspection.

Absolutely no weapons are allowed in the Bowl Bash area.

No chairs are permitted into the event.

Only compact, travel umbrellas are permitted into the event. No golf umbrellas, or cane umbrellas admitted.
